Southwest Turkey, a small harbour

the small town of Bozburun is a center for classic boat production. From the jolly-boat to the 40 meter three masts, from wood to steel, all these elegant hulls cruise in the waters along the Mediterranean Sea and Aegean Sea.

All photographs published herein are my own work.

These are pictures mainly taken in Izmir or in the Eagean region, on the west shoreline of Turkey but some may be collected from various locations in Turkey or abroad. Photo editing is limited to enhancement and correction i.e. to pose, filtering and contrast masks, and some time very limited cosmetic retouching but no photo manipulation is applied. The aim is to reproduce what we once were able to do in the dark-room with photo-enlargers. There is no heavy rework with editing software. The aim is to be as close as possible to what I intent to capture, just as it is: the composition is made by chance, anyone or Mother Nature, the settings and the click are made by my myself.
